~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pictures of how the color of a pointed kitten develops into the rich beautiful color of a cat.  This shows my male, Tubbs during different stages of his development.  Pointed cats are born all white and then develop their color over time.  It takes 2-4 days after they are born to develop their color on their ears, tails, nose and legs.  If they are seal point or blue point.  If they are red point or cream point it may take longer to develop their color.  As they mature their color becomes much darker with more contrast on their tail, body, legs and face.
This shows a seal point and white at 2 days old against a black and white littermate.  You can see a slight darkening on the ears and tail.  When first born the tail and ears are the same color as the body.
